Keren & Brett's Wedding, Long Island, NY

From the first phone conversation I had with Keren, I knew that she and Brett were going to be one of my "dream clients". I tend to click with everyone I work with, but we just extra-clicked. I don't know how to explain it. Just by the way she described her relationship with Brett and wedding vision, I had an instinct that this wedding would be one of my favorites of 2020. Not to brag or anything, but I was so totally right.

Keren and Brett came up for a pre-wedding shoot with me at The Sagamore about a month before their wedding, and it was a great way to get to know the two of them. I instantly was obsessed because they are both so nice, charismatic, and funny. Their love for one another is just so obvious I literally could not stop myself taking WAY too many photos than I intended to... and it went the same exact way at their wedding!

These two sure know how to plan a great wedding, and have truly excellent taste in everything from decor, to rings, to outfits (yes, more than one for each!), and even shot ideas. We started with the ladies' getting ready photos, then traveled to the wedding location. The ceremony was poolside and underneath most beautiful chuppah, followed by portraits, family shots, the most FUN cake cutting I've ever witnessed (think Will Ferrel's Deangelo Vickers on The Office), and speeches. I want to make a note here about one of the photos I've included in this highlight reel. The maids of honor, in addition to an expertly rhymed and hilarious speech about the b&g, had brought a printed Snapchat screenshot sent to them by Keren YEARS ago on her first date with Brett. It said "marrying my date, screenshot for the wedding". THAT is incredible. Hits me right in the feels. When you know, you know.

Following the speeches (btw, Brett's brothers get an honorable mention too because both speeches were very sweet and funny and contained a ton of hilarious family anecdotes that had me chuckling behind my lens) Keren and Brett posed for some sunset shots in their second outfits. After that, they decided to jump into the pool in said outfits! All their idea, pre-planned to ensure we got the coolest shots ever.

After all was said and done, Dyan (my second shooter for the day!) and I packed up and drove back home to Saratoga. When I got home at 2:30am, I was still so excited about this wedding that I couldn't stop myself from indulging in my post-wedding ritual: backup files, edit a few sneak peeks, have a snack, drink a glass of wine.

I could go on forever, but I know most of you have already skipped to the photo part of this post anyways. Keren & Brett, you are awesome. Congratulations on your marriage. I wish you nothing but a lifetime of happiness. Thank you SO so much for choosing me to play a little part of your big day - I hope you had the absolute best time and that you love your photos forever and ever, and remember: when in doubt, always eat the cake with your hands. Don't be a stranger!
