On September 1, 2019, Rachelle and Sam got married at the Emerson Resort and Spa in Mount Tremper, NY. Their gorgeous autumn Catskills wedding was the stuff of dreams - everything a wedding photographer and fall enthusiast could ask for! Everything from the small details such as the signage and invitations, ring boxes, and florals... all the way to the wedding dress, bridal party colors and table decor, was spot-on. Rachelle could probably back me up on this that multiple times throughout the night I could be heard whispering "this is literally wedding goals".
When the three of us initially met at their engagement session, I could tell we would get along. Rachelle and Sam have a very specific style and seem to intuitively know what makes a good picture. They wanted mountain scenery, and to capture one of the gorgeous sunsets that often grace Olana State Historic Site. That first shoot set the tone for their wedding - well-planed, Catskill-oriented, and romantic. The soft-spoken nature of this couple really shone through in every image we captured, and I think it tells a really beautiful story of their day.
The love that Sam and Rachelle share is one that - and I'm sure their friends and family would attest to this as well - is beautiful to watch. Their effortless connection to one another, the private jokes they share, and the looks they give back and forth really made me feel lucky to be there as a spectator. Their first look was super emotional - I loved their idea to write eachother notes for that moment - that was just one of the many little touches these two put on their day to make it not only picture - perfect, but really intimate and meaningful.
