Morgan & Jack's Franklin Plaza Ballroom Wedding, Troy, NY

Morgan & Jack's wedding took place on a perfect summer day this past July of 2021. After weeks of uncharacteristic rain and uncertain forecasts, they were blessed with the most beautiful warm, sunny day with no humidity and a gorgeous sunset.

This wedding had a very timeless, classic, and elegant look, but a very easygoing feel. From the start of the day to the end, there was a perfect balance of fun times and emotional moments - mixing excited celebration with taking a step back to fully appreciate how special the day truly is.

We started our day at Morgan's parents' house for the those getting ready photos we all love so much. Morgan's absolutely gorgeous crepe gown, cathedral veil, and bouquet completely blew me away (even though I already knew she had great style and would be the most beautiful bride). I loved how when we went outside and chose a spot to take some bridesmaids photos, I was informed that we had chosen the same spot Morgan and her sisters and friends would use to take their prom photos. Sweet memories <3

This wedding was a no-first-look day, so I was really excited to see Morgan's grand entrance and Jack's reaction to his bride. There wasn't a dry eye in the room as Morgan and Jack locked eyes for the first time down the aisle.

I love when my couples have specific wedding day ideas; sometimes people just have a vision and I love collaborating to make it all happen. Morgan and Jack wanted two specific things: to kiss at the end of the aisle (done, and so cute), and to meet me down the street from the venue for some very cool walking wedding party photos. I absolutely LOVED the way those walking photos turned out - it was a great way to make a little experience out of something as simple as leaving your limo and entering your venue.

Their reception was the stuff of dreams - obviously Franklin Plaza is so gorgeous to start off, and Morgan and Jack chose the most beautiful layout and table decor, I was in detail heaven! I loved watching their whole group party afterward - so many singers and dancers - the way they add to the atmosphere and the way they photograph makes the "party" part of an album so fun to look through!

This wedding had been a long anticipated one for me, ever since Morgan & Jack's epic Schroon Lake engagement session filled with champagne pops and their cat Pumba where we just clicked. it was also a really cool day because Jack is a fellow SUNY Oneonta greek life alumni. As a result, I ran into a couple folks I knew from my sorority, AKPhi, back in the day. We love a mini-reunion!

About our couple: I’m legit in love with Morgan and Jack. Okay, I’m in love with all of my couples - but specially what I love about these two is how sweet they are to eachother. I barely had to direct them at all during their couples photos, because they just naturally snuggled up and effortlessly rocked their portraits. They are super kind, big photo lovers, and cat people. Honestly... the three things that are prerequisites for becoming my favorite people ever. I just had so much fun working with them, and so much fun editing & delivering their photos.

Morgan & Jack, you’re lovely. Your families are lovely. Your friends are lovely. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness. Thank you so much for having me and the team at your big day - it was genuinely an honor to be there to document these memories for you!

LOVE YOU

HL

"Lifelong fairytale made a reality!

I first saw Hannah's work two years ago and fell in love! So when I got engaged in 2020, Hannah was the first person my fiance and I contacted. Photography was one of the most important aspects of our wedding for me as that is the one piece of the day that you will get to relive over and over again through photos. She made all of my little girl wedding dreams a reality!! She photographed both our engagement session and our wedding this past Summer and we are obsessed with all of the photos... Hannah was so easy to work with, she listed to our ideas but also gave us helpful guidance based on her experience, she was a calming presence the day of the wedding and she captured all the shots we were hoping for and more. We loved her so much that we recommended her to our cousin and his fiance and they are now using her as their photographer in 2022 :) Anyone reading this should hire Hannah ASAP because she is fantastic!!"
