Tyler and Emily are exactly the kind of couple I love working with - happy, easy-going, super kind, great sense of humor, and tons of love for each other. They are an absolute dream - with their little pup Piper and their beautiful new baby Henry who they just welcomed into the world this past week... I love everything about them!
Now is as great a time as any to share their gorgeous early-October '21 wedding at Loft 433 - a newer Mazzone property overlooking all of Troy!
We started the day at Emily's parents' house for getting ready shots - I loved this setting because a childhood home is a very sentimental place to have one's "forever" photos taken at. After details (check out the FANCY fancy wedding shotes Emily chose), getting ready, and "putting on the dress" shots, we went off to the balcony at Loft 433 for an emotional first look (where both sets of parents peeked through the window to witness - we love that).
After photos on the waterfront pathway with family and wedding party alike, their ceremony was held right inside the reception space at the venue. I really loved the way the windows of this room allowed for excellent "down the aisle" photos, as well as moody silhouette shots for when we were feeling artistic. Everyone - myself included - was emotional as Emily walked down the aisle to her groom - it was clear to see that this union was a long time coming (more on that later.)
This reception was full of dancing, impromptu songs from talented guests, and absolute JAMS. There are three things that stood out to me about this part of the day:
Emily and Tyler chose to have a slideshow of their childhood / family photos play on a screen during the first dances / reception - as a big fan of photographic memories, I absolutely loved this special touch. It was also fun to see photos of our bride and groom as little babies while they did their parent dances - it may or may not have resulted in some teary eyes <3
The cake cutting was SUPER cute, I will forever be obsessed with these photos - they might be the "standard" for all cake cuttings from here on out.
Emily's sister Hannah (ayyyyyyy Hannah gang) gave a BEAUTIFUL speech, during which she produced a framed STOLEN page from Emily's diary, in which Emily had made an entry about Tyler in the beginning of their relationship and how well things were going. MY HEART. So perfect!
Emily & Tyler's wedding day was the exact type of day I was extremely grateful to witness and document. Emily and Tyler - thank you SO much for trusting me with your memories, and thank you to your family and friends for their gracious hospitality at your event! I love you forever, and congratulations on the birth of your perfect new baby Henry <3
