Casey & Dan - 4.29.22
Casey and Dan got married this past April at the Canfield Casino - it was a day full of wonderful people, fantastic scenery, and gorgeous golden sunshine.
This was a super exciting wedding, because Casey and Dan were PROM DATES back in the day and have been together for 11.5 YEARS! You could say this wedding was a celebration that has been in the making for a long time <3 This couple is really easy to get along with, totally down for ALLLL the photo ops, and just cut and dry GOOD PEOPLE. I had been waiting for this day for a long time, ever since our first phone call, and all of my expectations were met!
We started our day with the girls at a nearby hotel for some getting ready shots, and then with the guys at Casey & Dan's apartment. I loved the way we got to take some photos of our couple's adorable pup (who you may remember from their engagement session!).
We all met up for their first look in Congress Park, and afterwards were able to capture some really gorgeous couples portraits at some iconic spots around the park, as well as bridal party photos and family photos. I should mention here that while I was talking bridal party photos, I tripped and fell flat on my back. I was fine, but the physical comedy added a little "something something" to the day, I think. Later that day after their ceremony and cocktail hour, we returned to the front of the casino to capture some of the insane golden hour light that Congress Park tends to bless us with. Casey and Dan are obviously naturals in front of the camera - seriously, Bridal Vogue status!
Their ceremony was indoors at the casino and SO sweet with lots of tears - as were the parent dances! I could tell that both families were super, super excited to celebrate Casey and Dan, as their wedding was a long-anticipated event (remember, PROM DATES!). It was so sweet to watch all of the emotions play out and to just be a fly on the wall of such an important day for this group of wonderful humans.
When we left for the night, everyone was dancing - grandparents, children, bridesmaids, groomsmen - everyone was on the floor, singing together and celebrating their union 'till the very last second of the reception. The exact type of crowd I love to see. The best.
