Feeling all the feels after Autumn & Nick's intimate Mouzon House wedding in late May. Their wedding story is similar to many others I've published recently in that there was a bit of re-adapting to do because of the pandemic... though I think after seeing these photos you'll all agree with me that their day was picture perfect, totally unique, and just so full of all the love and good vibes.
We started the day at a super cute downtown AirBnb in Saratoga Springs for details, getting ready, and Autumn & Nick's first look. From there, we walked to Congress Park for family shots, more couples pics, and then we were off to the ceremony spot (High Rock Park) just after making a brief pitstop at the Adelphi for some of that downtown flavor.
Let's have a frank discussion about High Rock Park: it made for an AMAZING ceremony location. I absolutely loved the elegant / dramatic long entrance from above (those stairs tho), and the super cute backdrop that the gazebo & spring made for the whole ceremony. All in all? 10/10, photograph again!
Just a short walk (are you sensing a pedestrian theme here?) away from High Rock Park, the Mouzon House sat waiting for us to arrive for cocktail hour & an intimate reception upstairs. Autumn and Nick had enlisted post-dinner entertainment - a mentalist - to come and totally blow our minds with some... I don't know how to describe it. It wasn't magic per-se, was it mind reading? People reading? Whatever way I describe it will not pay homage to how cool it was and how much fun it was for this awesome couple and all of their guests! Autumn was especially charmed by the performance - as she told me, "I really like suspending disbelief" - which I truly think is a really important quality in people. I vibe with that.
Autumn & Nick, thank you so much for choosing us to have the honor of documenting this very special life event for you! Being able to witness the two of you get married and be with your friends and family was truly touching. You two are so perfect for one another - so caring and loving, so smart and intuitive... you are just a genuine joy to be around! We were so thrilled to be able to capture all of these memories of your wedding, and hope you cherish them forever and ever.
Another big thank you to my second shooter, Olivia, who was awesome as always! (PS, we unintentionally both wore black rompers and jean jackets to this wedding. Twins forever.)
