Ashley and Justin tied the knot this past August at The Gideon Putnam. Their wedding day, 8/14/21, had absolutely perfect weather, and even more perfect vibes! We started off with getting ready shots, and I absolutely loved the way Ashley included their cat Boeheim in her bouquet (yes, there are photos). After an emotional first look with her dad, we went down to the back gardens for Ashley & Justin's first look. It was so sweet to see these two interact - I really love the way they joke and laugh and are so clearly in love. It was impossibly to stop taking photos of them!
After all of their couples, family, and wedding party formals, we headed inside for their ceremony. I absolutely love when couples & their friends and families wear their hearts on their sleeves during the ceremony part of the day, and Justin & Ashley's ceremony was certainly very emotional and heart-felt. A few readings, tears, and "I Do's", and our happy couple was down the aisle and ready to PARTY.
Sometimes, it's hard to predict what a crowd will be like at the reception, but knowing how close our couple was with their friends and family, and having heard a bit about previous weddings they'd been to with the same crew, I had a feeling that this squad was ready to dance and PARTY. This feeling was correct. Our bride and groom were up on chairs, dance circles were formed, I think there might have been a worm.... we love to see it. Honestly, 2021 was "the year of the worm" and I wouldn't have had it any other way. All in all, it was so wonderful to see Ashley & Justin, the sweetest couple ever, get to hit the dance floor after a packed day and have a great time with all of their friends and family.
Documenting one of the most important days of a person's life is an honor and a responsibility I don't take lightly - it means the absolute world to me to get to work with so many amazing people like sweet, gorgeous, cat-loving and bubbly Ashley, and kind, caring Justin with his dry humor. Ashley & Justin - you are two amazing humans and I feel so honored to have been just a little part of this special time for you. Thank you so much for having me & the HLP team. I hope you cherish these photographs forever - I know I sure will!

"An amazing human and photographer!
I was extremely lucky to have Hannah as our photographer in our Summer 2021 wedding. We tried an engagement shoot with another photographer and felt so awkward in front of the camera that we barely liked any of our photos. We switched to Hannah and when we did our engagement shoot with her we knew things were different, in all the best ways! She made us feel at ease, gave us helpful direction and made us look great.
Hannah was available via email, text and calls to help us get prepared for the big day. She organized a detailed itinerary for the day and included all the shots we requested. When our wedding day finally arrived, I had some nervousness about having "all eyes on me," but Hannah came in with a calm and confident energy that swept through the room. Somehow she manages to have a commanding presence when directing drunken groomsmen for group pictures, yet is able to shrink back so you hardly noticed her capturing all these beautiful, quiet, sweet, moments that you don't even realize until you get your photos back. I could not be more thankful to have had her as part of our vendor team. She truly exceeded my expectations and I will cherish these photos forever!"
