On a perfect summer's day I embarked on a solo journey down to Long Island to take Angela & Joe's engagement photos in Setauket, Long Island.
I went to college with Joe - we were both in Greek life, and though our paths didn't cross much, we did happen to follow each other on Instagram! I happened to be surfing the web on my phone one day when I saw these extremely sweet photos Joe had posted of his proposal to Angela in London. YES, LONDON. My heart. My soul! Obviously, I wanted to see more proposal pics and some ring close ups so I requested to follow Angela. I liked her pics and dropped a comment about her ring (I mean... have you SEEN it?! Really good job, Joe).
A few days later, I received a DM from these two on their limo ride home from the airport (honestly such a vibe), saying that they'd been watching my posts and they'd love for me to do their engagement shoot! I was so excited! I really love the way that life loops around on itself - every time a fellow Oneonta alum reaches out for a shoot, my heart leaps with joy!
Joe and Angela are just so obviously perfect together - the way they laugh together, the kind way they speak to one another, the way they just talk each other up, and especially the way they look at each other... they're a real joy to be around. The kind of couple that reminds you why you love love!
